The biggest Sydney race day on the calendar has arrived and we are looking forward to finding some winners in what looks to be an outstanding day of racing. Usually, we see the Slipper winner needing to have run under a 1:10 for 1200m and there is only a couple of horses in the race who have done this.

Let’s take a look at some early bets on the card as well as our top raters throughout the day.

Mornington

Race 1 #4 Matty $2 – Looks a good place for Matty to be second up today after a strong performance last start behind Sprightly Lass who has since come out and ran second on protest in a group race.

Hard to beat. 

Rosehill Gardens

Race 2 #Nettoyer $3.10 – Well suited here today and will prove as one of the better bets on the card.

Doomben

Race 2 #5 Jetsonic $9 – good each way play here and can handle the wet conditions which is what we will see today in QLD.

 

Mornington

Race 4 #5 Freehearted – $2.45 – Looks the best bet on the card to my eye. Has won 2/3 in all runs at the distance and expecting the Weir stable to be coming here flying.

Rosehill Gardens

Golden Slipper:
#15 Seabrook $9 –each way play and will have all the speed inside to get a good run.
#10 Sunlight $4.4 –If handles the wet will be hard to beat. 
#3 Aylmerton $15 –Has run under 1:10sec over 1200 and will be the good outsider in the race. 

Race 8 Galaxy: 

#1 Le Romain $18 – loves the wet and first up form is killer – OVER THE ODDS
#13 Viridine $5 – Think this is his race and been set for it. Cummings stable has been flying at NSW of late.
