Outside Magic Millions, the biggest raceday for the Gold Coast is Hollindale Stakes Day and it comes around this Saturday. There are some really good horses running around today including last month’s Don Caster Cup winner “It’s Somewhat”. We have tipped a few that should run in the top 3 today. The weather is fine, the track is good (4) and the rail is in the true position for the entire circuit.
Race One (11:50) : Brandons Bat Out Of Hell 900m:
Back Me: 2 Prompt Return $3.30 (William Hill) – Has been freshen up for this since having no luck in the summer campaign. Trialed nicely here at his home track for Toby Edmonds and we are expecting a bold showing first up! 2:2 at the distance and last 12 months have been outstanding with hitting the winning line 4 times.

Race Four (13:40) : 2K Thoroughbreds Gold Coast Bracelet 1800m:
Back Me: 1 Candika $4.6 (William Hill) – One of the favourite Queensland horses at the moment, impressive win last start over Prada Miss on a Soft Track, this is stronger though. She is the hard fit filly with the mile run under the belt and has class. Usually does best work on rain effected ground but it is too hard to go past her today.

Race Six (15:00) : Garrard’s Horse & Hound Silk Stocking 1200m:
Back Me: 5 Elegant Composure $5.5 (William Hill) – First up today with larry Cassidy on board. 3/3 first up form and 4/5 at the distance. Had a recent trial where she won over Bidii Babe. Going to be tough to beat Nancy the top weight but if she can get cover one back on speed she should run a great race! Doesn’t place only Wins….
