Saturday’s best bets come from all around the country with a couple in the country meets today. Our analyst has found a suggested multi that we are very confident will snag the money and two roughies that should land pretty close. Check them all out below;
Race 1 Book Summer Hospitality Plate 1100m
#7 Colombina $3.80 – on debut, today and the stable are becoming one of the better ones to place their up and comers. Huge upside was the natural ability she showed in her trial when peeling off the heels of the leader to get to the outside and surge to the line under no riding. Maps well and think the Bjorn Baker young filly will be the bunny for her to catch first up.
Race 5 Boxing Day At Randwick (Bm85) 1500m
#6 Sedanzer $3.10 – Was forward enough when coming from well back and wide last start to just beat Slow Burn on the line. Ran quick times that day and is even better when second up (2/2) Last time she was second up she beat Interlocuter by close to a length and money has been coming for her ever since markets opened. Think she is one that is on her way up the coast to the Millions carnival and this lead up will really prove her class.
Race 8 Starlight Stakes 1100m
#15 Tactical Advantage $5 – Barrier is a major concern here, though going with a huge tick on weight swing on the favourite Glenall who beat Tactical Advantage last start but was 1.5kg heavier for a small margin of 0.2l. Tactical Advantage is now at level weights and will get back from the draw and be strong charging home late.
Danger and ROUGHIE : #4 Quatronic $26/7.25 – Beat the likes of Deploy earlier in the year and is 3rd up today with fitness on his side. Will be the first time since started this prep that he will find the lead or thereabouts, does his best work a further 100m and dictating the tempo. HUGE DANGER
Race 2 Stanley River T’bred Hcp (70) 1050m
#1 I’ve Gotta Nel $3.30– Track conditions are not going to bother this young gelding from the Toby Edmonds stable. Has been proved at the distance with 5 starts for 3 wins and a 3rd, is 4th up and fit and the money support is there as well. TICKS A LOT OF BOXES
Race 4 Seq Ice Cream (Bm85) 1200m
#6 Courtza King $3.70 – 5 weeks between runs is a little concern though is 3rd up today and has a great strike rate when having his 3rd run of the prep. Is proven on the heavy going and the form out of his last race has since staked up really well with Desert General running a very competitive race last Saturday. Jim Byrne retains the ride and will be there for a long way.
Race 8 Sua George Moore Stakes 1200m
#10 Snoopy $8.50/2.50 – Happy to play each way odds available for Snoopy first up for the new stable (Chris Munce) query is how wet the track will be although proven on Heavy going, the stable did come out and say if the track is too wet we won’t make his first race on Saturday.
Race 8 (Bm90) 1800m
#9 Nights Watch $2.70 – 3 wins this prep and narrowly beaten last time out at Flemington 3 weeks ago by Another Coldie. The form has been strong out of the race and with 1/1 at the track happy to play again. In form and with the master Weir stable, ready to win.
