Whoyaon’s Top Rater’s This Weekend!

Back to fabulous Flemington to end the Cup Week. Stakes day is always the get out of jail or continue on the winning ways. Our Derby Day was fantastic for members and we are hoping our top raters play the same way. Track should be playing fair and down the straight the outside rail should be better going after 3-4 days of running.

 

Race 7 Darley Classic

#6 Impending $7/2.40 – Leaning towards this Godolphin horse after coming out first up and chasing down a smart one in In Her Time. Had no right in doing so as the track bias was against him. Has placed 2 out of 3 when second up and trial was good recently. Can turn the tables if he can handle the straight.

#2 Redzel $4/1.65 – How can you go past the best sprinter in the land (my humble opinion) Will make things really tough for all other horses if tempo is right. He makes them work out of their skin to chase him and when it gets into a dog fight, his the corner you want to be in. Is 1/1 at the track and has a 50% win strike rate and a 75% place strike rate, very hard to ignore a winner and a WINNER he is!

 

Race 8 Emirates Stakes

#7 Folkswood $5/2 – Gee the first up run in Aus at Cranbourne was dominate and then kept fighting last 100m to gap Gailo Chop in the Cox Plate. Trainer Charlie knows how to place them and which internationals will run well down under so must respect that.

#10 Gingernuts $5.50/2.15 – A lot of puntah’s will be his corner today after the flashing home late last start to run 2nd. Trainer has high hopes and said he traveled well enough to be very competitive here today. Runs well on good tracks and over 2000m is a dominate horse. One of the key dangers.

 

Race 8 Membership Open Sprint

#5 Vigilance $6.50 – Think the Blue boys can take the win here, is unbeaten second up and is 3/3 on good tracks. Struck trouble last start and missed the kick, will be better for that run and expect a HUGE turn around.

 

Race 8 #Bronxnation Open Handicap

#2 Cantbuybetter – $4.80 – Return was sound when finishing strong behind a winner who was dominate. Ran wide the race and no cover so if slot in from the wide draw or if he gets a sit behind the tempo can be strong very late. Has a great record at the distance 8: 4-1-0 and holds a 32% win strike rate. Ticks the boxes.
