Sydney Racing Best Bets + The Everest Preview

Sydney’s Best Bets & The Everest Preview

The lead up to the world’s richest turf race is nearly over. The Everest has been such a huge hype in the racing industry and why wouldn’t it with the winner set to take home 5.6 million. The best sprinters from all over Australia are here to contest the race at Royal Randwick and The Everest is set to make huge headlines in the coming days.

We are excited to give our top 3 selections in the race and even more excited to WATCH it. Before we get into them, let’s have a look at some other races on the card that we like.

Race 1 – #12 Don’t Give A Damn $2.15 (William Hill)

This young horse is just an untapped unit. Only defeat to date came against the impressive Suncraze which is racing in another highway later in the program. Expecting from the tricky draw to go ahead and take a forward position again and be to strong in the later stages. Very short but can’t see him getting beat in this lot today.

Race 5 #8 Oklahoma Girl $6.50 (William Hill)

Is very impressive horse from the Waller stable and this 4 year old mare has some unbeaten form when produced at this distance. Is also 1/1 at the track and is good second up. Was excellent behind Wayanka and Interlocuter which is strong form lines reading into this. Looks over the odds at $6.50

Race 10 #8 Machinegun Jubs $5.50 (William Hill)

Has trialed well recently and when produced fresh is lethal. Has won and placed from 2 starts at the distance and bowman should get a gun steer from Barrier 3 today. Can handle any ground and if there does get a chance to downgrade to the track to a soft, will only play into her hands. Good Play to finish the day.

Top 3 selections:

  1. #6 Deploy – BIG FAN of this guy and even though he is stepping up to the A graders today you can not knock his winning form and also breaking track records. Gerald Ryan stable is flying at the moment and to have the backing of the best trainer in Sydney (Chris Waller) how can you go past these odds. Will get a good sit in the run, most likely just off the back of Redzel and able to be produced late by Joshua Parr who loves riding this horse. He is a full on bulldog when it comes down to a fight and this is exactly what you need in a race like this. Can run on both good and wet surfaces so weather is no concern. Use the money back special with William Hill to save if he runs 2nd or 3rd.
  2. #5 Clearly Innocent – Got picked by Flower late in the piece but this 6 year old clearly fits the race type you need in this. Strong 3rd behind In Her Time last start and 1200m is ideal. Good draw and loves it with give out of the ground (unbeaten) on soft. Has plenty of ability and grit to win this…..clearly innocent
  3. #2 Vega Magic – Is just in career best form since joining the D & B Hayes & T Dabernig stable from WA. Williams on board and should get a nice run with plenty of speed up front. On our speed map he will settle in the first half of the field if he can show some toe to get across. Set ready to pounce come the top of the straight.
